Jerry Green, age 50, of 103 Wadsworth Lane died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in the Laurens County Hospital. He was born in Charleston and was the son of Betty Baker Green of Clinton and the late Oliver Green. Mr. Green was a graduate of Clinton High School and Lander University and was a retired teacher and coach at Clinton High School. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Campbell Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Tricia Alexander Green of the home; two sons, Jordan Alexander Green and his wife, Amber of the home and Dawson Baker Green of the home; a daughter, Mary-Grace Green of the home; a granddaughter, Wren Green of the home; siblings, Wayne Green and his wife, Rita of Honea Path, David Green and his wife, Ruth of Clinton, Mark Green and his wife, Fran of Taylors and Sharon Stephens and her husband, Gary of Clinton; brother-in-law, Mike Alexander and his wife, Georgia of Mountville and Jimmy Alexander and his wife, Debbie of Cross Hill; sister-in-law, Janet Ploghoft of Chapel Hill, NC; father-in-law, Edwin Alexander of Mountville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jared Hammond Green. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton.
