Denise Lanford was killed in a motorcycle wreck earlier this evening. January 3rd, 1957 - May 25th, 2008 Obituary: Dateline-Clinton, SC Denise Lanford, age 51 affectionately known to her family as “Poochie” of 12981 Hwy 56 North died Sunday, May 25th, 2008. She was born in Clinton and was a daughter of the late Harry M. and Dorothy Kelley Lanford. Denise was a dedicated and loyal Emergency Nurse Manager at the Laurens County Health Care System where she had been employed for 25 years. She received her RN from the New York State School of Nursing and was a member of the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church. Denise will be remembered not only for her free spirit, but her love of animals, hiking and the outdoors. Surviving are her husband, Frank Gaddis of the home; her son, David Earl Prince, Jr. of Clinton; her daughter, Lauren Prince and fiancé, Tim Paul of Clinton; a sister, Sandra Bragg and husband, Bingo of Laurens and two step sons, Michael Gaddis and fiancé, Kandi Mayfield and Dalton Gaddis all of Clinton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Lanford. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, May 28th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the residence, 12981 Hwy, 56 N., Clinton, SC.
